Why this matters

Your business runs through your head: Stripe logins, domain registrars, client contacts, deploy scripts. If life happens to you, it all vanishes with you — and your customers, partners, and family are left with a locked box.

How it works

  1. 1

    Write your packet

Jot down where everything lives and how to wind things down. It is encrypted in your browser with a passphrase only you know — before it ever leaves your device.

  2. 2

    Check in periodically

Every 30 days (your choice), click one link from an email. That's your heartbeat. Miss it, and we remind you for 5 days, then quietly loop in your trusted contact.

  3. 3

    Automatic handover

If you still don't respond after your grace period, your successor receives a one-time link and your passphrase hint. They decrypt the packet locally and carry on.

Security model

  • We store only ciphertext. We cannot read your packet.
  • We cannot recover your passphrase. If it's lost, the packet is lost.
  • Encryption is AES-256-GCM with PBKDF2 key derivation, done entirely in your browser via the Web Crypto API.
  • Reveal links are one-time, hashed at rest, and expire after 30 days.

Common questions

Is imok.day only for business owners?
No. Solopreneurs and indie founders are the main audience, but imok.day works for anyone who needs to pass something important to someone they trust: creators with monetized accounts, freelancers with client work in flight, or crypto holders who need a seed-phrase backup plan.
What can I put in a packet?
Anything your successor would need: account logins, domain details, client contacts, deploy instructions, wallet seed phrases, or a personal message. The server never sees the plaintext.
Can imok.day read my packet?
No. Your content is encrypted in your browser with a passphrase only you know. We store only ciphertext, IV, salt, and iteration count.
